TOWSON, Md – The Towson University softball team played the final of a three-game series against Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) rivals Drexel. On the Tiger's senior day, a Drexel comeback tied the game in the top of the 7
th, but a walk-off throwing error delivered Towson a 4-3 win and a series sweep of the Dragons.

Drexel – 3-40, 3-20 CAA
Key Stats:
- Towson starter Olivia Trombley pitched 5.0 innings allowing six hits and one run with two strikeouts, Trombley did not factor in the decision.
- Amanda Medina receives the win after pitching 2.0 innings out of the bullpen and allowing four hits and two runs with a walk and two strikeouts.
- Drexel's Madison Taylor receives the loss after allowing seven hits and four runs with three of them earned over 6.0 innings pitched.
How it happened:
- Olivia Trombley allowed back-to-back leadoff hits in the top of the first and a fielder's choice put runners on the corners with one out. But a strikeout and a diving play by Cara Bohner stranded the runners.
- In the bottom of the 1st, Briyana Wright drew a leadoff walk, Bohner singled, and Kristin Toland bunted the runners over. With one out Grace Franczyk opened the scoring with an RBI single and the next batter Madyson Peters hit a two-run double to give the Tigers an early 3-0 lead.
- Only one player reached base in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings.
- Drexel hit consecutive singles to lead off the top of the 4th a groundout moved the runners over before Kalea Calugay hit an RBI groundout to cut the lead to 3-1.
- Drexel's Madison Taylor only faced nine batters between the 3rd and 5th innings.
- Amanda Medina entered to pitch in the top of the 6th and a one-out single was the sophomore's only blemish in the inning.
- Grace Franczyk hit a leadoff single in the bottom of the 6th but Taylor retired the next three batters to keep the score 3-1 in Towson's favor.
- Medina allowed a leadoff single in the top of the 7th and after a fielder's choice forceout, a single and a walk loaded the bases with one out. Medina struck out the next batter for the second out, but Mia Garza hit a 2-run single to tie the game 3-3 entering the bottom of the 7th.
- Elizabeth Yoskowitz singled to leadoff the bottom of the 7th, and a throwing error allowed Paige Kostick to reach safely putting two on. Then a Wright pop-up fell between two Dragons to load the bases. The next batter Bohner hit a groundball to the Drexel shortstop whose throw pulled the catcher off home plate allowing Yoskowitz to score the walkoff run delivering a 4-3 win and series sweep to Towson.

The Tigers play the final series of the regular season on the road next weekend at Delaware. Game one on Friday is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
