BOX SCORE Hempstead, N.Y. - The Towson University tennis team picked up a 4-3 conference win on the road against CAA foe Hofstra on Saturday.
Hofstra secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. In singles play, the Tigers responded by winning four straight singles matches to clinch the win.
Gaia Montecchi and
Ashira Murray pulled out wins at No. 3 and No. 4 in three sets. At No. 5 and No. 6,
Aubrey Carper and
Sania Suchinsky secured two more points for the Tigers.
"After losing the doubles point and four first sets in singles, the team showed its competitive grit by coming back and winning four out of six singles," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "A great, well needed win!"
