TOWSON, Md – The Towson University softball team played the George Washington Revolutionaries in a midweek matchup at Tiger Softball Stadium. George Washington broke a 1-1 tie in the 5
th and didn't look back as the Tigers fell 5-1.

- Anna Reed earned her 12th win of the season after pitching all 7.0 innings and allowing five hits and one run with one walk and nine strikeouts.
- Alyssa Bostley receives the loss after pitching 1.1 innings out of the bullpen and allowing five hits and four runs.
How it happened:
- Towson starting pitcher Olivia Trombley and George Washington starter Anna Reed both pitched scoreless 1st and 2nd innings.
- Faith McCullough entered to pitch for Towson in the top of the 3rd and walked the leadoff batter. Before back-to-back singles from Ashley Corpuz and Kaylee Layfield scored the game's opening run to give the Revolutionaries a 1-0 lead.
- Cara Bohner hit a two-out double in the home half of the third to bring up Grace Franczyk who hit an RBI single to tie the game 1-1.
- After a scoreless 4th inning Alyssa Bostley entered to pitch for the Tigers and walked the leadoff batter and a wild pitch moved the runner to second. A fielding error allowed Corpuz to reach safely, and she promptly stole second base. The next batter Layfield then hit a two-run single to give George Washington a 3-1 lead.
- The leadoff batter for George Washington in the top of the 6th flew out. But then Bostley allowed four consecutive singles which brought in two more runs and pushed the Revolutionaries lead to 5-1.
- Reed only allowed one hit over the game's final four innings as George Washington defeated the Tigers 5-1.

The Tigers will hit the road for a Coastal Athletic Association series at Charleston. Friday's series opener is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start time.
