Bernt Schöps Scores Twice in Draw Against Delaware

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw after two first half goals by Malin Bernt Schops gave the Tigers a two goal cushion going into half.
Bernt Schöps first goal was assisted by Emely Rubio and Emma Kirkpatrick. Her second goal was created off Kale'a Perry beating her defender to get a cross to the far post for Bernt Schöps to redirect into the back of the net.

"We had a very good performance in the first half, staying organized and disciplined. Malin's two goals were outstanding and we outshot UD 11-1," said Towson head coach Katherine Vettori. "We expected a strong reaction from Delaware the second half and knew they would make it chaotic. We didn't take care of the ball as well in the second half, yet still created chances. I'm proud of the energy offensively with getting 18 shots off for the game. Going forward, I believe we learned a lot from this match, and to tighten up our defense and have the personality to close out a game with a two goal lead."
