How it happened:
  • Not even a minute had passed in the game when Megan Popp put a cross into the left side of the circle to Bailey Masten who scored her first collegiate goal.
  • A few minutes later the ball found Ella Kaufman in the circle, but her attempted shot was stuffed by a sweeping Kelsey Felix.
  • With under two minutes to go in the first quarter, Lock Haven earned a corner which was played to Kendall Siegle whose shot was saved by Tessa Scheenstra, however the Bald Eagles earned another corner from the play and Cyan Kvacky knocked in Molly Lynch's pass to tie the game at one entering the second quarter.
  • Early in the second quarter, with Towson a player up due to a Lock Haven green card, a Tiger fast break ended with a Tatum Dobbins shot that got past Felix but was stopped short of the goal by Bald Eagle defender Rylee Wassmer.
  • Midway through the period, Grace Conklin carried the ball into the right side of the circle and her shot was saved leading to a Towson corner. The corner was played to Megan Popp who saw her shot and Olivia Miller's follow-up saved by Felix.
  • With under 30 second left in the half, Arden Hunteman started a Towson fast break and fed Ella Kaufman whose hit towards goal was deflected in by Dakotah Trader to give the Tigers a halftime lead.
  • Midway through the third quarter, Trader attempted to score her second, but her shot was kicked away by Felix and the ensuing possession led to another Trader effort and Tatum Dobbins follow up being denied by Felix.
  • A few minutes later the Bald Eagles regained possession and Scheenstra had to dive and save Kvacky's attempt at a second goal to hold Towson's one goal lead entering the fourth quarter.
  • Less than two minutes into the fourth quarter, Rosemarie Staal sent a ball into the top of the circle that was knocked up and into the goal by Trader to double Towson's lead.
  • Three minutes later Towson took over possession in its own half and Roos Wiarda sent a long ball to Ella Kaufman who played across the circle to Anouk Westerink who scored to make it 4-1.
  • With Taryn Dolka taking over in goal for Lock Haven, the Tigers earned a corner and Dolka kicked away Popp's shot from the top of the circle, the ball came back to Popp who was again denied by Dolka.
  • Towson would keep possession and earn another corner which was played to Westerink whose shot was kicked away by Dolka right to Staal who scored her first Towson goal to push the Tiger's lead to 5-1.
  • Back-to-back Towson yellow cards led to a long stint of Lock Haven possession in the final five minutes of the game, but a trio of Scheenstra saves saw the score of 5-1 hold final.
