TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team hosted UNCW on Sunday afternoon in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play.

Tilda Sjökvist dominated the first and third quarters, leading the Tigers with eight points in each. Down 12 after the first few possessions of the fourth, UNCW (5-10, 1-3 CAA) cut the deficit to six in the closing minutes.
Zoli Khalil hit four free throws on two trips to the line in the closing minutes to secure the 79-68 win over the Seahawks.

- Tilda Sjökvist was hot to start the game, scoring eight of the Tigers' first 15 points. He made three with 2:54 to go in the first tied the game at 15 apiece. Viki Matulevicius had four in the period.
- Towson scored five unanswered points to close the quarter to take a 20-17 lead into the first break.
- The Tigers got the lead to six with 7:40 to go in the half before five unanswered from the Seahawks cut the lead to one.
- Kayla Morris led the Tigers with five points in the second quarter as the Tigers took a 34-30 lead into the half.
- The Tigers maintained their lead for the entire third quarter but could not extend it past six. Sjökvist led the team with eight in the quarter.
- Thalia Shepard hit three free throws and India Johnston's sunk a three to begin the fourth quarter, extending the Towson lead to 12.
- The Seahawks cut their deficit to six on a made tip in with 2:15 left in regulation.
- Semaya Turner completed a three-point play on the next possession to push the lead back to nine.
