WASHINGTON D.C. – Incoming freshman Zuri Johnson was named the District of Columbia State Athletic Association Girl's Soccer Player of the Year, the organization announced.

Katherine Vettori said. "This is an amazing acknowledgement of her hard work and perseverance."
This allows Johnson to be considered for the Gatorade Player of the Year for the District of Columbia.
Zuri Johnson played at Sidwell Friends School in Northwest DC. The right-footed forward from Silver Spring, Maryland recorded 50 points in 16 games with 19 goals and 12 assists. Her points total and goals were number one in DC with her assist total placing her second.
Johnson tallied two hat tricks on the season. Her first came against Potomac School, a 3-2 win. Her second came against Washington international, a 7-0 win. Johnson added four braces to her senior season game log.
In total, five games saw Johnson tally at least five points. She scored or assisted in every game she played during her senior campaign.
