WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced William & Mary at Kaplan Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Towson (14-11, 7-6 CAA) and William & Mary (13-10, 6-6 CAA) were well matched in the first quarter as the Tribe went up 17-13 after one. The Tribe extended their lead to 17 at the half and 20 after three quarters, but the Tigers didn't go down without a fight.
India Johnston and
Thalia Shepard combined for 24 in the fourth quarter as Towson cut the deficit to four in the final minute. A late turnover and pair of fouls put the Tribe back up seven in with less than 10 seconds remaining as they went on to win 75-70.

- The Tribe pushed its lead to start the second, scoring the first 12 points of the quarter.
