TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team faced Mount St. Mary's in a midweek matchup on Wednesday. The Tigers lost to the Mountaineers 10-0 to go 0-2 in its first week of midweek action this season.

How it Happened:
- A leadoff double led to the Mount taking an early 1-0 lead.
- After Medina threw a scoreless 2nd, Isabella Canesi hit a one-out single in the home half of the inning but the Tiger's failed to equalize in the frame.
- The Mountaineers broke the game open with a six-run 3rd inning capped off by a Lia Festa grand slam.
- Towson was unable to make up ground in the bottom of the 3rd, and Mount St. Mary's made it 10-0 in the top of the 4th with multiple singles and Towson errors.
- Jessa Pieters threw a scoreless top of the 5th, but Towson couldn't close the gap in the bottom of the frame, and the game ended 10-0 for the Mountaineers after five.
