TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's lacrosse team is back in the national rankings after the team's dominant victory over then No. 17 Virginia.
Towson now stands at No. 19 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll and No. 20 in the
Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, announced on Monday.
Towson returns to the national rankings after two weeks of receiving votes in both polls. The Tigers began the year in the top-16 of each poll.
The Tigers fell to Loyola earlier in the week but then traveled to Charlottesville and won 13-9 at No. 17 Virginia for the program's first victory over the Cavaliers since 1991. Towson, which is 3-3, has faced five opponents which have either been ranked or receiving votes in the polls.
On Saturday, March 14, Towson will play at Villanova at noon.
