TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team faced Hofstra in the final of a three-game Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) series on Sunday. The Tigers fell 5-0 to the Pride to suffer its second straight series sweep.

How it Happened:
- Hofstra scored in the top of the 1st for the third straight game as the Pride took a 1-0 lead via a wild pitch.
- Olivia Trombley bounced back with a scoreless 2nd inning.
- Hofstra used two quick hits in the top of the 3rd to double its lead to 2-0 after three innings.
- Grace Franczyk broke up Hofstra's no-hit bid in the 4th with a two-out single but the Tigers couldn't get a run back.
- Mikaela Guy threw her second and third consecutive scoreless innings in the 4th and 5th not allowing a hit in either inning.
- Kinsley Peek was hit by a pitch and Addison Miller singled with one out in the bottom of the 5th, but Towson couldn't capitalize and close the two-run gap.
- Guy pitched a fourth scoreless inning in the 6th, but Hofstra made it 5-0 with a three-run homerun in the top of the 7th.
- Towson couldn't get on the board in the 7th and were shut out for the second time this weekend in a 5-0 loss.
