Tigers Announce 2026 Hall of Fame Class

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University's Athletics Hall of Fame is announcing its Class of 2026 that will be honored this fall at its 62nd Annual Induction Ceremony and will include the 2012 women's lacrosse squad as a Team of Distinction.

The inductees are Ralph Blalock (basketball), Kaitlin Burke (swimming), Alexa Demski (lacrosse), Alise McDonald (gymnastics) and Laura Passalacqua (track & field).

"We look forward to honoring our newest class of inductees when we welcome them into to our Hall of Fame," said its president, Rich Bader. "This is another diverse group that played significant roles in helping to write Towson's athletics history."

The banquet will be held on campus at the University Union on Friday, October 30, the day before the Homecoming football game on October 31. Ticket information is forthcoming. For additional information contact Matt Death of the Tiger Athletic Fund at mdeath@towson.edu.

Here's a look at each inductee:

RALPH BLALOCK: Basketball (1992-96) – A three-year starter at shooting guard, Ralph was a major contributor across the entire stat line. He was named to two different all-conference postseason teams, America East and Big South, while helping Towson to a 67-45 record that included two regular season league titles. In his sophomore year he led the Tigers to 21-9 record, the first 20-win season for Towson as a Division I school. It would be 20 years before the Tigers enjoyed another 20-win record. A two-year captain, he led the Tigers in scoring his junior year with a 17.9 average that included 26 points in Towson's upset win over Louisville and a 3-point buzzer beater for an 81-78 victory at West Virginia. His 17.1 clip was a team best his senior year. For his career, Ralph is currently ninth in scoring (1,498 points), seventh in field goals made (565), eighth in FG% (.502) and tenth in minutes played (2,902). After Towson he played professionally overseas in the British Basketball League. He led the Leicester Riders to the league championship earning the MVP award in the process. While playing for the Brighton Bears he carried the nickname "King Ralph."

KAITLIN BURKE: Swimming (2010-14) – A dominating freestyler, Kaitlin was a three-time CAA champion in the 200, 500 and 1650. A two-year team captain, she also swam a leg on four CAA champion relay teams. She still ranks among the program's top-10 in all freestyle events including a seventh, a fifth, a third and three second places. She was named CAA Swimmer of the Year in 2013 and 2014 after earning the conference's Rookie of the Year honor in 2011. She was selected Most Outstanding Swimmer of the CAA Meet twice. In 2014 she earned honorable mention All-American honors for her performance at the NCAA Championship. That same year she was named Towson's Female Athlete of the Year and Senior Female Career Achievement Award recipient. In addition, Kaitlin was the CAA's NCAA Woman of the Year nominee. An exercise science major, she was a CSCAA Scholar first team All-American in 2013 and a four-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Award winner. Upon graduation she was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma's student-athlete honor society.

ALEXA DEMSKI HOLLAND: Lacrosse (2010-2013) – A three-time First Team All-CAA defender, Alexa earned Second and Third Team All-American honors during her career while making 71 starts. She was also recognized as an IWLCA First-Team All-Region selection all four years of her career.  She still ranks among the program's top 10 in ground balls (8th-155) and caused turnovers (5th-99). A two-time pre-season All-American, Alexa was named to the Tewaaraton Trophy watch list. In 2010 and 2011 she was a member of the CAA's Commissioner's List. Alexa helped the Tigers to a 16-4 record in 2012 that included a 7-0 mark in CAA play, Towson's only unbeaten CAA record to date. In 2013 she was named CAA Defensive Player of the Year, becoming just the second Tiger to garner that award. She is currently the Director of Development at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.

ALISE MCDONALD: Gymnastics (2007-10) – A four-time ECAC individual champion in the 2010 all-around and vault, 2009 floor and 2008 vault, Alise was honored eight times as a First Team All-ECAC selection (four vault, two all-around and two floor). She qualified for the NCAA Southeast Regional all-around in 2009 and 2010. Her 9.9 on the vault helped the Tigers win the 2007 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate Championship and four ECAC league titles. She finished with 1,748.5 career points, then seventh in Towson history.

LAURA PASSALACQUA: Track & Field (2004-08) – Towson's all-time high jumper who set the indoor (5'-10") and outdoor records (5'-11.25"). Laura captured back-to-back CAA outdoor high jump titles in 2007 and 2008, becoming the first Tiger to win a CAA medal in the annual conference track & field championships. In 26 regular season outdoor career meets she finished first in the high jump 13 times. Her indoor record was recently broken but stood for 18 years. Her outdoor record still stands as the program's best. She qualified twice for the NCAA Regionals. In addition, Laura competed in the 200m dash (25.24) and the heptathlon where her best score of 4,278 ranked her sixth in the program in 2005. In 2004 and 2005 she also competed on Towson's field hockey team.

2012 WOMEN'S LACROSSE TEAM: The Tigers piled up the most single season wins in program history when they finished 16-4. That number has since been equaled twice. The record included a 7-0 finish in the CAA, the program's only unbeaten conference record since joining the CAA. The Tigers closed out the year ranked 8th nationally and were seeded 8th in the NCAA Tournament. Three of Towson's victories were over other league champions including Loyola (Patriot), Oregon (MPSF) and Monmouth (MAAC). Four players – Alexa Demski, Mary Teeters, Andi Raymond and Kelly Custer – earned First Team All-CAA honors and Regional All-American recognition. Demski and Teeters were 3rd Team All-Americans. Teeters was the CAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Tiger head coach Sonia LaMonica was honored as CAA Coach of the Year.
