TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University athletics department hosted its first summer movie night since 2019 on August 1, inviting the local community to Johnny Unitas® Stadium for a free screening of Zootopia 2. The event was sponsored by the Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation. The event was created to bring the community together for a free shared and accessible experience.

More than 1,100 people attended the event, with many bringing blankets, chairs and snacks. While the film was the evening's main attraction, free popcorn, ice cream, Ledo Pizza and water was distributed while supplies lasted. Additionally, there was an inflatable obstacle course, yard games, balloon artists and face painters for families to interact with as well as a special photo op appearance with Doc. All attendees also received a voucher to claim a free youth football ticket to a game of their choice for the 2026 Towson Football season.
