Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Ryan Field

Tigers Tie Fightin' Blue Hens

NEWARK, Del. – A persistent high press led to some golden opportunities but the 34th match between Towson University women's soccer and Delaware ended in a 0-0 draw.

"Tonight was a good back and forth game with Delaware. Teagan [Gardner] came up big with six saves. Sydney Lindeman continues to play at a very high level. We created eight corners tonight and need to start finishing our set pieces. Two newcomers, Sydney Taylor and Angel Reid, energized the group with hard working minutes. Overall, it was a positive performance," Head Coach Katherine Vettori said.

The Tigers often sent a backline player for overlapping runs in the second half leaving two defenders and a central defensive midfield to handle the counter attack as Towson continued to try to get the deciding goal
