TOWSON, Md. – Towson University field hockey's Delfina Larripa has been named Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week, the CAA announced Monday.
 
Delfina Larripa started both the Tigers games this past weekend against #19 Monmouth and Penn. The graduate transfer made her mark against the Quakers scoring her first career hat trick and adding an assist to finish the game with seven points and help the Tigers earn a 4-3 win.
 
Larripa's first goal opened the game's scoring in the second quarter when she deflected a ball from Jillian LaBar past the Penn goalie. She scored her second in the same quarter when Else Wismans and Ella Jefferson found the Buenos Aires, Argentina native in the center of the circle to fire home and give Towson a halftime lead. After assisting Towson's third goal, the hat trick goal came in the fourth quarter when Larripa took the ball herself from the 25-yard line into the circle and slammed a shot into the opposite corner to seal the win for the Tigers.
 
The hat trick was the first from a Towson player since Sarah Hatfield on September 6, 2024, against St. Francis. Larripa's seven points was the most in a single game by a Tiger since Christina Boarman tallied three goals and an assist against Bryant on October 24, 2008.
 
The 2026 season continues this Friday at 3 p.m. when Towson hosts its second CAA game of the season against Fairfield.
