Thibeault Goal Carries Tigers Over Tribe

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Towson University women's soccer defeated William & Mary 2-0 on Thursday to earn three points towards the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) standings.

The scoring started with a Sophie Thibeault goal in the first half and was punctuated by a Kale'a Perry penalty kick.

"This is a really solid road win. William & Mary is a talented team. Sophie finished a dangerous ball played in by Paelyn in the first half. We stuck to our game plan and bent a lot in the second half, but didn't break. Sophie made a great run into their box and was fouled and KP gave us a cushion by finishing the penalty. I'm so proud of the grit and fight that we played with tonight. Jayla Caldwell really helped us in her first career start. Teagan Gardner had a rock star performance in goal," Towson head coach Katherine Vettori said.
