In the summer of 2018, head coach Diane Richardson added Dana Wieller to the Towson University women's basketball staff as an assistant coach.
During her first season with the Tigers, Wieller's effort with the Towson guards returned with records and accolades. Redshirt-junior Q. Murray broke the single-season record for assists while Kionna Jeter received Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) season awards. Wieller helped lead the Tigers to their first program CAA Championship and first NCAA Tournament berth.Â
Wieller comes to Towson from Fairleigh Dickinson where she worked in 2017-18. Prior to working at FDU, she spent two seasons (2015-16, 2016-17) at Flagler University (Fla.) where she assisted with all aspects of the program while under the direction of head coach Erika Lang-Montgomery.

While at Flagler, Wieller helped the Saints make the Peach Belt Conference Tournament in 2015-16.

Prior to Flagler, Wieller spent one season (2014-15) as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg (Pa.) University where she supervised weight and conditioning training, developed and conducted individual skill and team workouts. In addition, Wieller was responsible for breaking down game film as well as compiling and maintaining team playbooks and notebooks. Wieller prepared and updated scouting reports for each opponent and also wrote and sent out an alumni newsletter.

A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Wieller spent one season as the Director of Basketball Operations at Lafayette. In that role, Wieller helped handle the travel logistics, coordinate practice times and gym usage, and oversaw the daily operations of the women's basketball program under the supervision of the coaching staff.

One of the most dynamic scorers and shooters in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Wieller played in 115 games with 112 starts and helped Bloomsburg University to an 88-29 record in her four years in the program. She scored 1,883 points, an average of 16.4 points per game, and made 82% (361-440) of her free throw attempts.

She also made a Bloomsburg school record 332 3-pointers and helped the Huskies qualify for a pair of NCAA Division II tournament appearances during her sterling career.

Wieller was a three-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selection and helped lead Bloomsburg to a conference title as a senior. She was the PSAC East Division Rookie of the Year in 2009-10.

She graduated from Bloomsburg in 2013 with a degree in mass communications/telecommunications and from East Stroudsburg in 2015 with a master's in sport management.
