Kelsey Cannon is a head athletic trainer for Towson University, being with the department since June 2018. 

She works primarily with women’s basketball and men’s golf.  She was the athletic trainer for the Towson women’s basketball team for the program’s Colonial Athletic Association championship in 2019.

Cannon came to Towson from Northern Illinois University, where she was an assistant athletic trainer from September 2014 to June 2018.  She was the primary athletic trainer for men’s basketball and men’s tennis teams and supervised the graduate assistant trainers for men’s and women’s soccer.

Before Northern Illinois University, she was an assistant athletic trainer at Anderson University from January 2012 to September 2014.  She was the primary athletic trainer for men’s soccer, women’s basketball and softball, having additional coverage responsibilities with men’s basketball and women’s soccer.

She was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southeast Missouri State University from 2009-2011.  She was the primary athletic trainer for men’s and women’s cross country/track & field during the 2009-2010 season and women’s basketball and women’s tennis during the 2010-2011 season. 

She was an academic graduate assistant at Eastern Illinois University during the 2008-09 academic year, working with the Athletic Training Education Program.

Cannon graduated from Coe College in 2008, double majoring in athletic training and physical education while being a four-year letterwinner for the women’s soccer team.  She has earned two Master’s Degrees: from Eastern Illinois in kinesiology and sports studies with an emphasis is sports administration in 2009 and from Southeast Missouri State in higher education administration in 2011.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the College Athletic Trainer’s Society and is CPR and AED professional certified by the American Red Cross.
