Last week was a true test for the Towson women's basketball team and leading scorer Kionna Jeter as the Tigers took three road trips, including an appearance in College Park against Top-15 Maryland. Jeter paced the Tigers in scoring in two of three games as the team went 2-1, taking wins over La Salle and Longwood. Against Maryland Jeter dropped 28 points, 20 in the third quarter alone, shooting 12-of-28 from the floor. Her efforts in the third period helped Towson cut the lead to 13 points early in the fourth quarter, against a team that dominated offensively as the Terps were shooting 60 percent from the floor and 67.7 from three. The guard averaged 25.3 points per game in three games in six days, scoring 76 total points and taking the nation's lead in total points scored as of Sunday evening. Against Longwood on Saturday the redshirt-senior matched her career-high 32 points, leading Towson to post a program single-game record of 108 points in the victory. Through the week she shot 42.8 percent from the floor, grabbed 12 rebounds, had 11 assists and six steals.
