Holehouse earns her first TowsonTigers.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors of the 2016-17 athletic year, while becoming the second volleyball player in as many weeks to be named. Mynatt also picks up his first TowsonTigers.com Student-Athlete of the Week plaudits and is the seventh football player tabbed this year.
Holehouse anchored the Tigers' defensive efforts in a pair of wins over teams ahead of the Tigers in the CAA standings, including first-place Northeastern. She had 32 digs (4.57 per set) with a perfect reception percentage of 1.000 for the week. In Sunday's win over Northeastern, she recorded the 1,000th dig of her career. She also added 13 assists and four service aces for the week.
Holehouse started her week with 11 digs, a perfect reception percentage and five assists in the win over Hofstra.
In the win over Northeastern, Holehouse posted a team-high 21 digs, including the 1,000th of her career. Holehouse became the 15th player in program history to reach the mark and just the second sophomore. She is also the quickest player in school history to reach the mark. Holehouse, who posted a perfect reception percentage for the second straight match, added eight assists and four service aces.
