Jessica Lewis helped the Tigers win a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament match for the first time since 2005 with a strong performance at the CAA Tournament. Lewis finished the tournament with a team-best 25 kills (4.17 per set), 18 digs (3.00 per set), an assist, a service ace and a block.
In the first-round win over No. 4 Hofstra, Lewis posted a team-high 13 kills and hit .345. She added seven digs and an assist as the Tigers got their first ever win over the Pride in CAA Tournament action and the program’s first win in any round since 2005.
On Saturday against James Madison, Lewis posted her 17th double-double of the season with 12 kills and 11 digs. She also had a service ace and a block against the Dukes.
Lewis’ 25 kills gave her 459 for the season, which is tied for fifth in single-season history at Towson.
