Raven Bankston had a huge week to lead the Tigers to a pair of wins over William & Mary and James Madison and the team’s first three-game win streak in CAA play since 2012-13. The senior guard averaged 19.5 points while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the foul line. She also added nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block.
In Friday's win over William & Mary, Bankston contributed 13 points, three rebounds, four steals and two assists. Bankston turned in a huge performance on Sunday in the win over James Madison. She scored a game-high 26 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter as the Tigers came back from a nine-point deficit. She shot 50% from the field against the Dukes and 5-for-6 from the foul line with two of those coming in the final 10 seconds to seal the win. Bankston added six rebounds, an assist and a block against the Dukes. Bankston's performance allowed the Tigers to earn their first ever win in Harrisonburg and earn their first ever season sweep of the Dukes.
