Christian Carpenter made eight tackles, registered a pass breakup, forced a fumble and had an interception in Towson’s 24-17 win at Delaware on Saturday. Carpenter halted a promising Delaware drive when he punched the ball out of Stephen Clark’s hand on Towson’s 35-yard line in the second quarter. He then picked off his second pass of the season when grabbing Trent Hurley’s pass on Towson’s 28-yard line and returning it six yards to the Towson 34 with less than a minute to play in the third quarter.
