Towson-Villanova Post Game Notes

ATTENDANCE RECORDS: With today's attendance of 3,759, the Tigers set a pair of single-season attendance records ... In five games, they drew 35,693 fans to Unitas Stadium, breaking the previous mark of 31,847 fans set during the 2005 season ... In addition, the average attendance of 7,139 fans broke the single-season average mark ... During the 2005 season, the Tigers averaged 5,308 fans in six home games.

 

RECORD BOOK UPDATES: The following milestones were achieved by Towson players during Saturday afternoon's game against Villanova:

 

- Senior wide receiver DEMETRIUS HARRISON became the 17th player in school history to record 100 career receptions. With 7 receptions against Villanova, Harrison now has 103 receptions in his career.

 

- Senior safety KENNY SCOTT became the 30th player in school history to reach 200 career tackles. Scott tallied ten tackles and now has 205 tackles in his career.

 

- Senior linebacker BRIAN BRADFORD became the fourth player in the program's history to reach 300 tackles for his career. He also moved into third place on the Tigers' all-time tackle list, passing JIM COLONGO, '98. With a career-high 19 tackles, he has 313 tackles in his career.

 

- Senior linebacker JOHN WEBB tallied six tackles against Villanova to become the fifth player in school history to reach the 300-tackle mark for his career. He has 300 tackles in his career.

 

- Senior tailback NICK WILLIAMS moved into fifth place on the Tigers' career rushing list. With 28 yards on six carries against the Wildcats, he moved past MATT ROMEO, '04 and has 1,960 yards in his career. He will enter the season finale against James Madison needing 40 yards to become the fifth player in school history to reach 2,000 career yards.

 

- Junior quarterback SEAN SCHAEFER moved into second place on the Tigers' career passing list.  With 242 yards on Saturday, he now has 8,009 yards in his three-year career. DAN CROWLEY, '95 owns the school record with 8,900 career passing yards.

 

- Junior quarterback SEAN SCHAEFER threw the 50th TD pass of his career with a 7-yard completion to DEMETRIUS HARRISON in the fourth quarter with 52 seconds remaining. DAN CROWLEY, '95 holds the school record with 81 career TD passes.  

 

- Junior wide receiver MARCUS LEE moved into a tie for fourth place on the Tigers' career receptions list. He had nine receptions for 95 yards in the loss to Villanova. With 161 career receptions, Lee has tied KEVIN HOWARD, '92 on the career list. Lee has tallied 1,877 yards in his career.
