TOWSON, Md. ? Highlighted by 41 former All-America honorees, the Towson University Department of Athletics has picked the members of the all-time Towson men's lacrosse team, it has been announced by Director of Athletics Mike Hermann.

The 56-player team was selected based on nominations from former players and includes players from the past 50 seasons. The team will be honored during half-time of the Tigers' April 26 game against the University of Pennsylvania at Johnny Unitas® Stadium at 1 p.m.

“Whenever you select an all-time team, especially with a successful program like ours, you do so with some hesitation because there are so many great players to consider,” Hermann says. “However, I was so pleased that the former players were willing to play such a critical role and assist with the selections.

“We ended up with an outstanding team that really highlights the outstanding players that helped build this program over the past 50 years,” adds Hermann. “The announcement of the team and the commemorative poster that will be distributed at the final home game will be a wonderful close to our 50-year anniversary celebration.”

The team features seven players who earned first team All-America honors during their playing careers and 11 players who were recognized as second team All-Americans. In addition, all four of the Tigers' National Player of the Year selections are members on the team.

In addition, all ten of the Tigers' all-time leading point scorers and nine of the ten all-time leading goal scorers in school history are included on the team.
