Goodrich, Weisshaar to Compete for Spots on 2026 U.S. Men’s National Field Lacrosse Team

SPARKS, Md. – Two Towson University alumni, Zach Goodrich '19 and Mikey Weisshaar '26, have been selected to the 2026 U.S. Men's Training Camp Roster for the upcoming Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Championship.

The camp is set for June 7-9.  22 players will be selected to compete for Team USA in the Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Championship in Jamaica from Aug. 17-23, which is a qualifier for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men's Championship in Japan.  The top five countries out of 16 in this tournament will qualify for the world championship.

Goodrich is looking to return to Team USA after helping the squad win gold at the 2023 World Championship in San Diego, also helping the 2022 U.S. Men's Sixes Roster to a silver medal finish.  A three-time all-star in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), Goodrich was a three-time All-American SSDM at Towson, earning 2019 USILA Lt. J.G. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. Outstanding Midfielder.

Weisshaar previously trained with the U.S. Men's Sixes Roster last year.  Now playing with the Boston Cannons in the PLL after being drafted second overall this season, the two-time CAA Offensive Player of the Year and three-time All-American graduated as Towson's all-time points leader, finishing his college career with 234 points off 154 goals and 80 assists.

Each Goodrich and Weisshaar play for the Cannons in the PLL and will compete in Charlotte the previous weekend to the camp.

Team USA will have another competition to set a final roster for the 2027 world championship.
