SPARKS, Md. – Towson alum Mikey Weisshaar will be headed to Canada next month as part of the 2026 USA Men's Lacrosse Sixes Team.
 
Weisshaar is one of 12 players who will compete for Team USA in the upcoming Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Sixes Championship in Oshawa, Ontario from Sept. 29-Oct. 4.  The tournament is a qualifier for the upcoming World Lacrosse Sixes Championships in Oct. 2027 in Colorado.
 
In the tournament, the team is in Men's Pool A along with Chile, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.  In Men's Pool B will be Brazil, Canada, the Haudenosaunee and Mexico.
 
Sixes lacrosse is six vs. six with a 30-second shot clock and draws only at the start of each quarter.
 
Weisshaar previously trained with the Sixes Team and now makes the 12-man roster for the tournament.  The two-time CAA Offensive Player of the Year and three-time All-American graduated as Towson's all-time points leader, finishing his college career with 234 points off 154 goals and 80 assists.
 
Team USA's first game in the tournament will be on Tuesday, Sept. 29 against Chile at 3 p.m. ET.
