TOWSON, Md. – Two Towson University players, Mikey Weisshaar and Matt Nilan, have been recognized on the 2026 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America selections, announced on Thursday.

Weisshaar, earning his third All-America selection of the year, was placed on the Second Team while Nilan, notching his first-ever All-America recognition, is honorable mention.

The USILA All-Americans are nominated by NCAA head coaches and selected by the USILA voting members.

Weisshaar, the CAA Offensive Player of the Year, finished with 47 goals and 29 assists for 76 points, adding 34 ground balls.  He had eight hat tricks and at least three points in 14 games this year.

Nilan, the CAA Defensive Player of the Year, started in goal for all 15 games for Towson this year, earning a 55.3% save rate and a 9.75 goals against average, saving at least 50% of shots in 11 contests.

With the selections, this is the third straight year where Towson has had multiple players earn All-America distinction.  2024 saw Weisshaar, Colby Barsz and Nick DeMaio be All-America while Weisshaar, Chop Gallagher and Joe Petro were recognized in 2025.
