TOWSON, Md. ? During the upcoming 2009 season, fans of the Tiger men's lacrosse team will be able to follow their favorite team through numerous radio and television broadcasts in addition to live video streaming on the Tigers' official website, www.TowsonTigers.com.

The Tigers will be featured on television four times during the regular season and will have 12 of their 15 games broadcast locally on WTMD-FM 89.7, Towson University's award-winning public radio station. In addition, all five of the Tigers' home games will be streamed with video and audio on TowsonTigers.com.

Of the Tigers' four televised appearances, two of them will originate from Johnny Unitas® Stadium. The Tigers' home opener against the University of Maryland on March 7 will air live on WMAR-TV in Baltimore and via tape delay on ESPNU.

The Tigers' April 11 match-up against Hofstra University will also air on WMAR-TV and ESPNU.

The Comcast Network will also televise the Tigers' game at Drexel on March 28 while WMAR-TV and ESPNU will show the Tigers' season opener at Loyola next Saturday.

Led by play-by-play announcer Spiro Morekas, '83 and color analyst Greg LaCour, '80, the Tigers will have 12 of their regular season games broadcast on WTMD this season beginning with next Saturday's clash with the Greyhounds. The Tigers' games against Air Force, Denver and Drexel will not be broadcast on WTMD.

Morekas is currently in his 18th year as the “Voice of the Tigers” while LaCour is in his third season as the color analyst for Tiger men's lacrosse broadcasts on WTMD.

All five of the Tigers' home men's lacrosse games this season will be streamed on TowsonTigers.com, giving fans another opportunity to support the Tigers. Live footage from each game will be available on the website and the live video streaming will be linked to the audio broadcast.
