Alysha Fanning was named the tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Amanda Halls and Taylor Hawkins ... on the season the Tigers have four players with 50 or more kills on the season led by Britney Loomis (80) ... Towson also has three players with at least 15 blocks on the season led by Shelynne Hoyt with 30.
I'm Honored: Alysha Fanning was named the MVP of the Battle of Baltimore Tournament ... Fanning hit .382 with 13 blocks to earn MVP honors ... it was the second time in her career that she has earned MVP honors in a tournament ... Fanning was joined on the Battle of Baltimore All-Tournament team by Amanda Halls and Taylor Hawkins ... Halls collected 33 kills and 39 digs including her first career "double-double" against Morgan State ... Hawkins hit .333 for the tournament with 27 kills and added five blocks ... the trio joins Missy Rohrbaugh (West Virginia Classic) as Tigers to have earned all-tournament honors this season.
Streaking: Saturday night's win over Navy extended the Tigers' win streak to five matches ... it is the third time a Tiger team has had a five-match win streak under Coach Paul Koncir ... the longest win streak by a Tiger team under Koncir was six during the 2006 season ... the longest win streak in program history was a 13-match win streak by the 1993 squad.
Did You Know: Missy Rohrbaugh's 31 digs against Oakland where the most by any libero in the Colonial Athletic Association so far this season ... Towson's .384 hitting percentage against Navy was the best by any CAA team so far ... the Tigers finished with 94 digs against Oakland, the most by any CAA team in a match this year.
