TOWSON, Md. - A pair of first-half goals by Nicky Graham lifted Northeastern to a 2-1 win over the Tigers on Friday night. Tabi Hatch scored the lone goal for the Tigers (5-8, 1-4 CAA).
Graham got Northeastern off to a good start with an unassisted tally at 8:52.
The Tigers got the equalizer at 23:38 as Hatch scored off an assist from Kim Schnell. It was Hatch's third goal of the year.
Graham put the Huskies back on top at 27:16. Graham's second goal of the game was assisted by Carolyn Malloy.
Northeastern finished the first half with six shots to the Tigers' two while the Huskies had four first-half corners.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half. Northeastern had three shots to Towson's two in the second half.
Lizzie Priest made two second-half saves to earn the win for Northeastern. Whitney Clugston made three saves for the Tigers. Schnell had her team-leading sixth defensive save as well.
Northeastern finished the game with a 9-4 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in penalty corners.
The Tigers return to action on Monday, October 11 when they host Pacific at 12 p.m.
