Second Half Goal Gives Davidson 2-1 Win Over Tigers

DAVIDSON, N.C. - A second half goal broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Davidson to a 3-2 win over the Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Towson (0-2) had tied the game twice in the first half.

"We need to keep working hard and take advantage of our opportunities," said Coach Michelle Webber.

Towson got the equalizer at 18:14 as Kasie Nurko knocked one through the five-hole.

Davidson went back on top as Gray Robinson registered an unassisted goal at 25:39.

The Tigers once again got the tying goal, as just over a minute later Blythe Mackie scored her first goal of the year.

The game was knotted at 2-2 at the break despite Davidson holding a 12-4 advantage in shots.

Annie Evans got what would prove to the game-winning goal at the 52:30 mark of the second half. Robinson registered the assist on Evans' goal.
