| @Towson_FB Holds First Workout In Pads

TOWSON, Md. - The Tiger football team held its third practice session of the Spring on Friday and the Tigers wore pads for the first time.

"I really enjoyed hearing that sound," admitted Coach Rob Ambrose. "Pads hitting pads sounds like car crashes in a movie."

He recalled, "Three years ago, our first full practice in pads sounded like two pillows in the wind."

During the 150-minute practice, Ambrose was pleased with the intensity that his team displayed.

"The defensive intensity was impressive," he said. "They were out there hitting hard and forcing turnovers."

Among the Tigers' hardest-hitting defensive players were newcomers Darrell Givens and Jordan Love, a pair of defensive backs who transferred to Towson at the start of the Spring semester.

"We are in the middle of a tough stretch right now," admits Ambrose. "We are going to practice four days in a row. That will be a test for them. We're all a little sore right now."

The Tigers resume their Spring schedule on Saturday morning,
