Tigers Remain Undefeated With Victory at GW

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Seniors Kendall Towe and Kaitlin Burke both won two events, leading the Towson University women's swimming and diving team to a road victory over the George Washington Colonials 184.50-76.50 on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers, now 9-0, have won nine meets in a season for the seventh straight year.

"We've got some work to do and it's a work in progress," Towson Head Coach Pat Mead said. "The ultimate goal is what we accomplish at the end of the year."

Burke won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.15 and the 100-yard freestyle in 52.09. The 100-yard freestyle event was a productive one for Towson, as it earned the top three finishers. Amanda Barber and Charlotte Holz were second and third, respectively.

Towe displayed tremendous endurance by taking home wins in the 200-yard butterfly (time of 2:04.97) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.84).

Towson returns home on November 23 for a meet against McDaniel at Burdick Pool starting at 1 p.m.
