The Series
•Saturday will be the 26th all-time meeting between Towson and James Madison.
•The Tigers snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Dukes with a 28-17 win in Towson last season.
•Towson has not won at James Madison since a 10-3 victory on November 19, 1983.
Last Week
•Despite forcing a season-high three turnovers, Towson was held out of the end zone in a 14-3 loss against Stony Brook last Saturday. A Sam Hurwitz 26-yard field goal accounted for the only Tiger points of the game. Redshirt freshman James Simms paced the Tiger defense with 11 tackles, while junior Christian Carpenter added 10 stops. Senior Tye Smith registered nine tackles while also recording his first interception of the season.
•Ryan Maglio booted a 34-yard field goal with just four seconds remaining to lead James Madison to a 31-28 win at Albany last Saturday. Quarterback Vad Lee completed 14-of-23 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Lee also ran for 111 yards and a score on 17 carries.
Mynatt's Rare Feat
•In last Saturday's game against Stony Brook, sophomore linebacker Jordan Mynatt became the first Towson football player in the Rob Ambrose era (2009-pres.) to record a sack, a forced fumble and an interception in the same game.
•What makes it all the more impressive is that Mynatt was playing just his third game at the linebacker position. The sophomore was Towson's starting free safety in the season opener against Central Connecticut and moved to linebacker before the North Carolina Central game.
Victor Climbing the Ladder
•Entering this week's game, Darius Victor has 1,276 career rushing yards, ranking him 15th all-time at Towson. The sophomore is just 63 yards behind Tremayne Dameron for 14th place and 122 yards behind Robbie Jackson for 13th.
More on Victor
•Victor leads the CAA in rushing TDs (6) and yards per carry (5.4). He ranks second in the league in total rushing yards (647) and rushing yards per game (107.8).
•The sophomore has already surpassed his rushing total from last season (629 yards). He needs one more rushing TD to match his 2013 output.
FCS & CAA Rankings

•Junior kicker Sam Hurwitz ranks fourth in the CAA by making 62.5 percent of his field goal attempts.
•Senior Ryan Delaire, who recorded a career-high tying three sacks against Maine, ranks third in the CAA with six sacks this season. He's also fourth in the league with nine tackles for a loss.
•Redshirt freshman James Simms leads the CAA and ranks 11th in the FCS in tackles per game (10.7).

Sensational CAA Rookies on Display
•Saturday's game will feature two of the top rookies in the CAA. Both Towson's James Simms and JMU's Jimmy Moreland were named to the Jerry Rice Award midseason watch list, which was released by The Sports Network on Wednesday.
•Simms leads the CAA and ranks 11th in the FCS by averaging 10.7 tackles per game. Simms has registered double digit tackles in four of Towson's six games thus far, including a season-high 14 stops against Central Connecticut. He also has four tackles-for-loss and two pass breakups.
•Moreland ranks in the conference's top 10 in interceptions, blocked kicks, fumble recoveries and passes defended. He's one of just four league players with an interception returned for a touchdown this season.
