TOWSON, Md. – The University of North Dakota scored three of the final four points in the game to secure a 54-52 win over the Towson University women's basketball team on Saturday night in the final game of the Preseason WNIT consolation bracket. Redshirt senior forward

The two teams battled early as a layup from senior forward
Camille Alberson tied the game at 8-8 with 16:12 remaining in the first half. Hines-Allen scored five of the next seven points in the game and gave the Tigers a 13-10 lead with 14:15 showing on the clock. North Dakota (2-1) used a 10-2 run to take a 20-15 advantage with 9:53 left in the half.
Siri Burck had three points during that stretch. Towson responded by scoring nine straight points, which gave the home team a 24-20 lead with 5:21 remaining in the half. Freshman guard

Ciara Webb each had three points for the Tigers during that stretch. North Dakota scored eight of the final 12 points in the half and the two sides went into the break tied at 28-28.
Emily Evers had half of UND's points during that stretch.
North Dakota shot 37.9% from the field in the first half to Towson's 34.4%. The Tigers held a slight edge in the rebounding battle, 21-20. Hines-Allen had 15 points and eight rebounds in the first half while Evers contributed eight points and five rebounds.
The two teams traded baskets early in the second half as Alberson's jumper at 13:14 tied the game at 35-35. North Dakota used an 8-2 run to take a 43-37 lead with 9:26 remaining in the game. Towson scored eight of the next 10 points and tied the game at 45-45 with 7:37 to play. Hughey and junior guard
Dominique Johnson each sank a three-pointer for the Tigers during that stretch. The Tigers and North Dakota traded points as senior guard
Ciara Webb's layup at 4:15 tied the game at 47-47.
Mia Loyd's jumper at 2:52 gave North Dakota a 51-47 advantage. Hines-Allen made a jumper and Webb hit a pair from the foul line at 2:23 to tie the game at 51-51.
Loyd's layup at 2:01 gave North Dakota a 53-51 lead. Hines-Allen made one-of-two from the line with 44 seconds left which pulled Towson to within one, 53-52. A North Dakota turnover gave Towson the ball back with 33 seconds to play but the Tigers couldn't get a shot to fall.
Leah Szabla hit one-of-two shots from the charity stripe with three seconds remaining to seal the 54-52 win.
North Dakota shot 42.9% from the field in the second half and finished the game shooting 40%. Towson shot 28.6% in the second half and 31.7% from the field for the game. North Dakota finished with a 45-31 edge in the rebounding battle.
Hines-Allen led Towson with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Johnson had nine points. Hughey added six points, six assists and two rebounds. Webb posted seven points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.
Evers led North Dakota with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Loyd had six points and 11 rebounds.
Towson will be back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 25 when it travels to UMBC for a 5 p.m. game.
