FINAL RESULTSWILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Towson women's golf team wrapped up play at the William & Mary Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers finished in eighth-place with a 54-hole score of 925 (309-305-311).
Elon won the tournament with an 883 (300-285-298). Morehead State (904), Seton Hall (905), UNC Wilmington (914) and William & Mary (921) made up the Top 5 teams in the 13-team field.
Junior
Krissy Unger was Towson's top individual finisher as her 227 (76-75-76) earned her 15h-place overall in the 90-person field. Classmate
Larissa Spiess carded a 75 during Tuesday's final round, matching Unger's second round 75 as the best individual round shot by a Tiger. Spiess finished tied for 18th-place with a 229 (77-77-75).
Elon's
Kelsey Badmaev used a strong finish to earn medalist honors with a 216 (75-70-71).
The Tigers return to action on October 6 when they compete in the St. John's Invitational at St. Andrew's.
