STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Towson University women's golf team opens its fall season with a trip to Pennsylvania for the Nittany Lion Invitational from Sept. 21-22.
The Nittany Lion Invitational will be a 54-hole competition, with the first two rounds being played on Sunday followed by the third on Monday. The tournament is being contested at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pennsylvania. The par-72 course will play at 6,363 yards.
Towson will be joined by Akron, Bucknell, Delaware, Duquesne, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland, Naval Academy, UPenn, Penn State, Rollins College, Seton Hall, St. John's, UAlbany and Yale.

Spring Season Recap
Towson opened last season in February with a trip to West Palm Beach, Florida for the UNCG Advance Golf Partners Collegiate where the Tigers placed 15th. In March, the Black & Gold traveled to Arizona for the Red Rocks Invitational. Towson placed 19th after the tournament was shortened to a single round due to inclement weather. Later that month, Larkin's squad headed to Pawley's Island, South Carolina, for the Golfweek Spring Invite.
Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon led Towson with a tie for 26th after rounds of 72-76-77. The Tigers closed out the season at the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship, placing ninth.
