TOWSON, Md. – The Towson women's golf team will compete at the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship on Friday in Southport, N.C. The event will run for three days with one round one each day. This is the sixth straight year that the tournament has been played at the Reserve Course at The Clubs at St. James.

Towson will be joined by Charleston, UNCW, Elon, Monmouth, NC A&T, William & Mary, Campbell and Hofstra.

The Tigers are currently ranked No. 228 in the country. Charleston is ranked No. 58 with UNCW one spot behind at No. 59, Elon (144), Campbell (149) and NC A&T (211) are also ranked ahead of Towson. Mike Larkin's squad is ahead of William & Mary (233) Monmouth (240) and Hofstra (270).

Luciana Calbimonte, Victoriah Kuranga, Kanchana Kanchanaphiboon, Grace Oristian and Payton Balliet will be the starters for Towson with Kalyn Doss traveling as the substitute. Calbimonte, Kanchanaphiboon, Oristian and Doss competed at last year's Championship.

In Towson's most recent tournament, the Tigers placed 14th in a field that included Elon, Campbell and Charleston.
