Towson Women's Golf Adds Aneka Seumanutafa as Associate Head Coach

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's golf and Director of Golf Mike Larkin have announced the addition of Aneka Seumanutafa as the Associate Head Coach for women's golf.

Seumanutafa has a long resume, with many accomplishments from Maryland. For three consecutive years, between 2015-17 she won the Maryland State Junior Girls Tournament. Seumanutafa is one of two players to win the tournament for three straight years and the first to do so since 1981-83.

Adding to her Maryland golfing accolades, Seumanutafa won the Maryland State Women's Amateur in 2015 and the Maryland Women's Open in 2016 and 2023. Her 2016 win came as an amateur. She is one of only five amateurs to win the Maryland Women's Open and was the first to do so since 2004.

Seumanutafa has competed in numerous USGA Championships including making it to the round of sixteen in the 2022 US Women's Amateur and the quarterfinals of the 2020 US Women's Amateur. She competed in the 2021 US Women's Open at the historic Olympic Club and was invited to compete in the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur in both 2021 and 2022.

As a college golfer at Ohio State, Seumanutafa was First Team All-Big Ten twice (2019, 2021), Second Team All-Big Ten (2022), WGCA Second Team All-American (2019), Golfweek Third Team All-American (2019) and Big Ten Freshman of the Year (2109). Seumanutafa led the Buckeyes in scoring average all four years she competed. Her senior year saw her lead the buckeyes in scoring average at 73.00, amassing six top 20 and three top 10 finishes. Seumanutafa's junior year saw her post a 72.53 scoring average, with three top three finishes. Her sophomore campaign saw Seumanutafa count towards scoring in 19 of 21 rounds, with a 72.3 scoring average. She had two top five finishes. During her freshman year, she won the Westbrook Spring Invitational with a 12-under par 204 (69-68-67). Her scoring average of 72.0 was ninth nationally and second among freshmen.

After her career at Ohio State, Seumanutafa played professionally on the Annika Women's All Pro Tour (AWAPT), EPSON Tour, and Ladies European Tour (LET).
