TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming and diving program will seek its first undefeated dual meet season since the program's debut in 1972 on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Tigers are hosting Johns Hopkins in their final dual and home meet of the season.

The meet will serve as the Tigers' Senior Day and will also be the second meet where Special Olympic Maryland athletes from Towson's fall swim clinic series will swim exhibition races during the meet's diving break.

Pat Mead said. "The opportunity to be undefeated is exciting. All of our past women's teams are a big part our success this year. I am confident that our women will rise to the challenge."

Towson improved to 9-0 and 4-0 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) after defeating conference rival Delaware 205-95 last weekend. The Tigers started the meet on a strong note, winning the first six events. The team grabbed seven wins throughout the rest of the meet to finish with wins in 13 of the 16 events. Â

Macey Arnold was named CAA Swimmer of the Week for her contributions to the Tiger win at Delaware. She recorded three victories against the Blue Hens, two individual events and one relay. Arnold finished the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.84 and the 500-yard freestyle in 4:59.49. Her split time of 52.14 helped
Victoria Oslund,
Charlotte Holz and
Amanda Barber to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:29.36.

Oslund and Holz also finished the meet with multiple wins. The duo combined with Barber and
Jenna Van Camp to win the opening 200-yard medley relay (1:44.46).

Oslund also grabbed first-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly (56.90) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.69) to total four victories against the Blue Hens.

Holz tallied her third win of the day in the 100-yard backstroke, which she finished in 57.28.

Lyndsey Dickson recorded a win on the diving boards, placing first in the one-meter event with a score of 285.90.

Towson travels to Bucknell on Saturday, Jan. 31 for the Bison Invite featuring Army, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
