The Homestand Continues: The Tigers return to action with a pair of matches in SECU Arena this weekend. Towson welcomes Elon on Friday, Oct. 23 and William & Mary on Saturday, Oct. 24. Friday night will be Kid's Day and there will activities on the concourse for kids in attendance. Saturday, the Tigers will welcome back and recognize their alumnae. Fans attending Saturday's match are reminded that it is also homecoming and the Tiger football team is at home. Parking will be limited to Lots 13 & 14 (
see info here) and will open at 3 p.m. on a first come first serve basis for football and volleyball. Any fans unable to secure a spot in the athletic complex will have to park on main campus and take the shuttle to SECU Arena.
Tiger Tracks: The Tigers will be looking to bounce back from a tough 3-2 loss to Delaware on Wednesday evening. Redshirt freshman
Anna Holehouse matched her career-high with 30 digs against the Blue Hens. Freshman
Jocelyn Kuilan paces the Tiger offense with 316 kills and 29 service aces. Senior
Haley Pa'akaula has contributed 294 kills and 297 digs. Seniors
Aimee Schubert and
Kyana Miller have split time running the offense. Schubert has 646 assists and 21 service aces while Miller has posted 452 assists and 144 digs. Holehouse anchors the backline with 436 digs while junior
Lindsay Flaherty has a team-high 76 blocks.
Scouting the Opponents: Elon enters Friday's match having won two straight following a 3-1 win over North Carolina A&T on Tuesday evening.
Megan Gravley leads the Phoenix with 195 kills and 155 digs while
Sydney Busa has contributed 172 kills, 166 digs and 13 service aces.
Sydel Curry has dished out 594 assists while
Maddie Jaudon has 304 digs.
William & Mary plays at James Madison on Thursday before traveling to Towson on Saturday. Entering the match at JMU,
Dessi Koleva leads the Tribe with 204 kills, 259 digs and 20 service aces.
Katie Kemp has handed out 343 assists with 16 service aces while
Sara Zumbach has posted 259 digs.
Series History: Friday's contest will see the Tigers and Phoenix battle for the sixth time overall. Towson leads the all-time series 4-1 after posting a 3-1 victory earlier this month at Elon.
Towson and William & Mary will be meeting for the 34th time in a series that began in 1976. The Tribe lead the series 17-16, however the Tigers have won three straight following a 3-1 victory in early October in Williamsburg.

Lindsay Flaherty has been a strong performer at the net for the Tigers throughout her career. Flaherty has a team-high 76 blocks this season which gives her 295 blocks for her career. Flaherty needs five more blocks to become the 10th player in program history to record 300 or more blocks in her career. The school record for career blocks is 566 set by
Liz Goubeaux (2001-2004).
Among the Leaders of the Pack: In the NCAA stats released on Thursday, the Tigers continue to rank among the nation's leaders. As a team, the Tigers are second in team kills (1,314) and team assists (1,241). They also rank among the top 10 for assists per set (7th with 13.64) and kills per set (9th with 14.44). Welcome Back: The Tigers will welcome back alumnae of the program on Saturday night. Alums in attendance will be recognized between the second and third sets of the match.
Can You Dig It? Redshirt freshman
Anna Holehouse has played a key role in the Tigers' defensive success this season. Holehouse posted 30 digs against Delaware on Wednesday night. That tied her career-high also set against the Blue Hens earlier this season. She is the fourth player in program history to have two 30 dig matches in a single-season and the first freshman to do so. She is also the fourth freshman to post 400 or more digs in a single-season.
Up Next: Following this weekend's action, the Tigers remain home to host College of Charleston (Oct. 30) and UNC Wilmington (Nov. 1) next weekend.
