Tigers Place Five in Double Figures in Victory Over Gallaudet

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson men's basketball team placed five players in double figures in an 88-45 victory over Gallaudet Wednesday afternoon at SECU Arena.
 
How it Happened
  • Gallaudet got off to a quick 10-2 start and forced Towson to call a timeout.
  • The Tigers came out of the timeout on a 16-8 run to tie the game 18-18.
  • From that point, it was all Towson as they used a 17-5 run over the final 7:41 to take a 35-23 lead into the locker room.
  • Timajh Parker-Rivera was the catalyst in the first half as he scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds in the game's first 20 minutes.
  • The Tiger offense continued to find their mark in the second half as Towson used a 17-7 run to break the game open.
  • Arnaud William Adala Moto led the way with six points during the run, while Parker-Rivera added four.
  • The lead would reach 30 points with just over five minutes to play as Alex Thomas pulled down an offensive rebound and put it back for his only two points of the game.
  • Freshman Jordan McNeil would help to cushion the lead as he knocked down three three-pointers in the final five minutes to finish with a career-best 14 points.
 
Inside the Numbers
  • Towson shot a season-best 55-percent (33-of-60) from the field.
  • The second-half numbers were even better as the Tigers went 21-of-32 (.656) from the field.
  • Ten of the 11 players who say action for the Tigers got in the scoring column.
  • Timajh Parker-Rivera recorded his first double-double of the season with 13 points and a career-best 13 rebounds.  He added three assists and three blocks.
  • Mike Morsell led all scorers with 16 points. 
  • Arnaud William Adala Moto filled the stat sheet with 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.
  • Mike Davis scored two points and pulled down a rebound in his first action as a Tiger.
 
The Tigers return to action Saturday afternoon as they travel to Coppin State in the second game of the Battle For Greater Baltimore.  Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
