ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Towson women's indoor track and field team set a school record in the indoor 4x400m relay to open the 2015-16 season on Tuesday at the Navy Lid Lifter. The Tigers earned six dual meet victories at the meet, dropping dual meet decisions to just three teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED (TRACK EVENTS)- The Tigers closed out action at the Lid Lifter, setting a school record in the indoor 4x400m relay. The team of junior Zanae Freeland, senior Kelsey Fiddes, freshman Liz Reid and junior Amanda Famularo timed 3:53.91 for a second-place finish, breaking the 2009 record of 3:54.25.
- Freeland won bronze in the 60m dash with a time of 7.79. Freshmen Rachel Laryea and Waller tied for a 10th-place finish (8.03), which matches the ninth-fastest time in school history.
- Towson excelled in the 200m dash, sweeping second through fourth-place. Freshman Arianna Waller was the runner-up with a time of 25.44. Freeland followed in third-place (25.63) and Reid in fourth-place (25.67). Fiddes placed seventh (26.11) while sophomore Brittany Shields finished 10th (26.42).
- Famularo finished seventh in the 500m dash with a time of 1:19.07. She moved from 10th to eighth in the Towson All-Time Top-10 list.
- Senior Wilhelmina Austin placed fifth in the 60m hurdles, timing an indoor personal best 9.31. Shields finished seventh (9.36).

HOW IT HAPPPENED (FIELD EVENTS)- The Tigers placed three in the top-10 for the 20-lb weight throw. Senior Jader Godsey led the effort, finishing seventh (13.75m). Freshman Lauren Coleman followed in eighth-place (13.14m) and senior Leone Evans-Anfom in 10th-place (12.17m).
- Reid shined off the track as well, finishing sixth in the long jump with a distance of 5.14m. senior Lindsay Pinckney finished ninth (4.98m).
- Freshman Naja McAdam tied for sixth-place in the high jump (1.60m) while senior Anna Ranly tied for ninth-place (1.50m).
- Austin was the runner-up in the triple jump with an indoor personal best distance of 11.46m (37'7.25").
- Towson took ninth through 11th-place in the shot put, led by senior Michelle Keller. Keller had an indoor personal best distance of 11.59m (38'0.25"). Godsey finished 10th (11.31m) while Coleman placed 11th (10.98m).
- Junior Brynn Warrington was the runner-up in the pole vault with an indoor personal best height of 3.45m (11'3.75"). Senior Maggie Rampolla followed in third-place (3.30m). Junior Courtney Rose tied for sixth-place (3.15m).
