Storylines
Towson looks to remain perfect at home when it hosts Sacred Heart for the first time in program history.

The Tigers enter the contest on a four-game winning streak.

A win would give the Tigers at least a five-game winning streak for the third straight season under head coach Pat Skerry.

Since its opening prior to the 2013-14 season, Towson is 24-10 inside SECU Arena.

This is the first meeting between Towson and Sacred Heart since 1977. Each program competed on the Division II level at that time. Brian Matthews led the Tigers in 1977 with a 17.9 point per game average. Pat McKinley averaged 12.2 rebounds per game that year and set a program record that still stands with nine blocked shots in a single game (St. Thomas Aquinas)

Towson has scored at least 80 points in two of its last three games. In addition, Towson has held three of its last four opponents below 40 percent shooting.

The Tigers have also held a double-digit advantage at some point in each of their last four games.

Towson has led at halftime in four straight contests.

NEC -- You
Two of Towson's next three games are against members of the Northeast Conference.
Towson hosts Sacred Heart (Sat. Dec. 5) and visits FDU (Fri. Dec. 18). Those games are sandwiched around a short road trip to Loyola. Overall, Towson is 37-40 against schools currently in the NEC.

Staying in the Neighborhood
Towson will not be logging many miles over the next few weeks. Through the rest of the semester, the Tigers will not leave the Greater Baltimore area. Towson played home games against Gallaudet (Nov. 25) and George Mason (Dec. 2). The Tigers visited Coppin State (Nov. 28). The Tigers will host Sacred Heart Saturday and visit Loyola Tuesday.

Hawkins Matching Benimon
Sophomore Byron Hawkins is matching former standout Jerelle Benimon's torrid pace through eight games. Hawkins has scored 20 or more points three times in
Towson's first eight games. The same number of times that Benimon did in the Tigers' opening eight games of the 2013-14 season. For his career, Hawkins has four 20-point
scoring games.

Block Party
Senior Timajh Parker-Rivera is second in the CAA in blocked shots, averaging 1.8 per game. He has 14 rejections through eight games. He has 103 career blocked shots. He is currently eighth in program history in blocked shots. With two blocked shots against Sacred Heart, Parker-Rivera will surpass Benimon and into seventh all-time in program history.

CAA Perfection
Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) schools are enjoying a week to remember. Through Thursday's games, the CAA is 14-0 with wins over schools from the SEC, Atlantic-10, Ivy League, MAC, American Athletic and Sun Belt.

A Look At Sacred Heart
The Sacred Heart men's basketball team held an 11-point first half lead in an 82-49 loss at Connecticut on Wednesday night at the XL Center. It was the Pioneers' fifth consecutive defeat. Sophomore guard Cane Broome leads the Pioneers with a 20.5 point per game scoring average, which is also tops in the NEC. He has scored 20 or more points four times this season, including a 32-point performance against Yale in which he was 10-for-14 from the field.

Up Next
Towson will continue its Battle for Greater Baltimore when it visits Loyola on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers and Greyhounds will meet for the first time since 2012. Loyola has won two straight in the series.
