TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team welcomes the University of Pennsylvania to SECU Area on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. for the Shelli Calloway Memorial Invitational. The Tigers will recognize former Tiger gymnasts and coaches before the meet begins.

Towson (6-6) finished third at the University of New Hampshire last weekend after totaling a season-high 194.975 points. The Tigers had a total of eight career-highs recorded during the meet, led by
Tyra McKellar who had three.

McKellar was named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Week for her performance at the University of New Hampshire. She earned a 9.900 on bars and floor, which were both career-high scores. She finished third in the all-around with a career-high 39.175 total.

The Tigers were most successful on floor as all of the gymnasts earned scores of 9.800 or higher. Along with McKellar's career-high 9.900 score,
Lauren Cahalan and
Nicolette Vignola had matching career-high 9.850 scores while
Noelle Harada and
Samantha Lutz scored career-high 9.800s.

Cahalan earned a second career-high for the day on vault with a 9.625 score.

Towson alumni who are being recognized before the meet starts are asked to check in by the scorer's table no later than 3:45 p.m.

The Tigers will be back in action when they travel to Maryland for a quad-meet that features EAGL foes William & Mary and George Washington on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
