TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's gymnastics team will welcome Michigan State, Rutgers and Yale to SECU Arena on Friday, Feb. 27 for their annual Pink Meet at 7 p.m.

Fans who wear pink to help the Tigers raise awareness for breast cancer research will be able to purchase a ticket for a discounted price ($5). Fans are also encouraged to bring a canned food item to support Towson University in the annual Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) food drive. Those who bring an item for donation will be able to purchase a discounted ticket ($5).

Towson is 8-8 on the season after finishing third in a quad meet at Maryland last week. The Tigers scored 194.450 to finish behind Maryland (194.925) and University of New Hampshire (194.925) and ahead of William & Mary (190.550).

The Tigers had four gymnasts set or tie career-highs at the meet.
Janis Konkle scored 9.650 to set a career-high on vault while
Bridget Steffen set a career-high on beam (9.750).
Noelle Harada tied her career-high on floor (9.800) and
Samantha Lutz tied her career-high on vault (9.600).

Towson had its most success on floor where it earned a team-total of 48.925. All but one Towson gymnast scored a 9.750 or higher, led by
Tyra McKellar who earned a 9.850. McKellar's score was high enough to tie for third-overall in the meet.

Four Tigers scored 9.700s or higher on beam, giving Towson a total of 48.675 for the event.
Lauren Ross finished tied for second-overall with a team-high 9.800.

McKellar placed second in the all-around with a score of 39.025.

The Tigers will travel to Brown for a tri meet that also features Lindenwood on Sunday, March 8 at 1 p.m.
