TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's gymnastics program will travel to East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) rival University of New Hampshire for a quad-meet on Sunday, Feb. 8 that begins at 1 p.m. The meet will feature Brown and West Virginia, in addition to the host Wildcats.

The Tigers are 5-4 after finishing second at a quad meet last weekend, hosted by Texas Woman's University. Towson recorded 194.125 points to defeat Centenary (188.925) and the host, Pioneers (193.150). San Jose State finished first overall with a total of 194.375.

The Tigers had gymnasts,
Lauren Ross on beam and
Katie Sassa on vault, win two events while the team recorded the highest team total on both bars and beam in the meet. Ross recorded a 9.775 on beam to win the event and Sassa earned a 9.850 to grab the victory on vault.

Janis Konkle had a career-high 9.675 on beam to help the Tigers record a team total of 48.475.

Lauren Cahalan set a career-high on floor with a 9.775 total, high enough to finish the event tied for second-overall.
Tyra McKellar also recorded a career-high after she earned a 9.725 on the event.

McKellar finished the meet in second-place in the all-around with a career-high total of 38.950.

Towson will return home on Saturday, Feb. 14 to welcome Pennsylvania at 4 p.m. for the Shelli Calloway Memorial Invitational. The meet will serve as "Alumni Night" for the Tigers and fans are encouraged to wear their favorite Towson shirts to help welcome back alumni.
