TOWSON, Md. – For the second time in as many weeks, darkness played a part in the final outcome as Towson and Coppin State played to a 7-7 tied in 10 innings Tuesday afternoon at Schuerholz Park. The game was halted at the start of the 11
th inning due to darkness.
The Tigers (9-23-2) trailed the entire game and entered the ninth inning trailing by two runs.
Peter Bowles started the comeback with a solo home run to left field.
Billy Plante reached on a walk and then scored on
A.J. Gallo's triple off the fence in left center. Towson was unable to in the game after a lineout and a base-running mistake ended the inning.
The Eagles (3-25-2) jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after scoring two runs in the first and then getting a two-run home run from Bryant Miranda in the third.

Spencer Sutton single to center.
After CSU scored in the top of the fifth, Towson answered with two runs in the home-half of the inning. An infield single and the second throwing error of the inning allowed the second run to score.
The Tigers pulled within one run in the sixth inning after
Tristan Howerton drove in a run with a groundout to shortstop.
The Eagles looked extended the lead in the eighth as they loaded the bases with one out. The Tigers attempted to turn a double play on a slow hit ball, but the throw to first was wild, allowing a second run to score.
