SOUTHPORT, N.C. (April 19, 2015) – The Towson women's golf team saw its season come to an end on Sunday afternoon as the Tigers wrapped up play at the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Golf Championship with a seventh-place finish.
Sophomore
Stephanie Bosdosh finished as Towson's top individual with a 54-hole score of 236 (79-79-78). She ended the tournament tied for 21st overall in the 40-player field.
"We finished right where we were seeded," said Towson Head Coach
Kate Schanuel. "We came close to having a really good round today, but did not close. Our freshmen really contributed this weekend, proving that we have a really bright future. Overall, this was another great year for each individual on this team and I am so proud of them."
College of Charleston captured the 2015 CAA Women's Golf Championship for the second straight year, finishing 18 strokes ahead of second-place Elon. Individually, the University of Delaware's Andi Slane had a record-setting performance to win her first CAA title. Slane fired a five-under 67 in the final round of play to set the CAA Championship individual round and course record at the par-72 Reserve Club. For the tournament, Slane was -7 (71-71-67) through 54 holes to set a three-round CAA Championship record and earn Most Outstanding Performer honors.

College of Charleston finished the three-day event with a score of 881 (302-290-289) which tied the second-lowest performance in CAA Championship history. The Cougars earned the CAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

Elon was the runner-up in the team standings finishing with an 899 (295-298-306) while Delaware finished a stroke behind in third place with a 900 (303-299-298). James Madison (310-306-299=915) was fourth, William & Mary (307-307-308=922) was fifth, and UNCW (306-312-322=940) was sixth. Towson (317-312-322=951) finished seventh and Hofstra (335-333-345=1013) rounded out the eight-team field.

Alexis Hios (77-83-79=239) finished in a tie for 26th, junior
Krissy Unger (83-75-82=240) placed 29th and junior
Larissa Spiess (80-79-84=243) and freshman
Mackenzie Rice (81-79-83=243) tied for 30th overall.
Towson will return its entire team for the 2015-16 season.
